creative transition ideas for BOLD colors
Get creative and think outside the box. That was the challenge I gave myself. With open floor plans these days we have to get creative on our transitions so we can bring bold color into areas of our homes. Here we wanted to be welcomed with a high energy color but wanted to keep it in the entry.This "Watermelon" colored nursery has another great design idea. They could have just kept the bold color confined within the hand-painted frame.

furniture painting project
I picked up this little side table at a second-hand store. I painted it white and then had some fun with COLOR!
Antique Black painted buffet cabinet. I hit the edges with some bronze paint to give an antiqued look. The back of the cabinet is painted in copper, then I applied a "French Roast" glaze, which toned down the shine. I also removed mirror that was in the center cabinet door. And replaced it with black chicken-wire. I also added wine glass rack. Now it's ready for the kitchen! It was a fun easy project, that really perked up an old piece.
