venetian plaster & speciality finishes
Hand-Troweled texture was applied to wall then it was painted and glazed. The ceiling was finished in several smooth layers of Gold Venetian Plaster. It turned out beautiful! It's a gorgeous glow over head when you enter this grand entry.
Hand- troweled walls with glaze rubbed into the detail give these walls a warm aged feel.
In this powder room I hand-troweled the walls and applied a raised Bee stencil design. After several layers of glazes in multiple reds, I finished of the Bee's with a touch of Bronze. The cabinet was also given a custom paint finish. Shown here, I painted a Tuscan Hillside onto the Travertine stone behind the cook-top. I sealed it with several coats of poly-acrylic. In the dining room to the right is the stone wall, where I applied white plaster to the stone. Great affect!

commissioned painting
My sister saw a picture of Paul Smith's Needlepoint Wall-hanging "Love Too". She asked me to turn it into a painting for her home. This way we were able to customize the size and colors. She selected a Sherwin William's color "6760 Rivulet" ( Aqua Blue) for the main background color. She wanted me to be sure to include a Vibrant Orange as well as an Apple Green. From there I just tried hard to keep with the original design.
